Terms of Service
Last updated: March 14, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BillError.com ("Site"), operated by Amburd LLC ("Company," "we," "us"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
1. What This Site Is
BillError is a free educational website that provides guides, articles, and tools to help consumers identify and dispute billing errors. Our content covers medical, utility, phone/internet, insurance, and other types of bills.
BillError is NOT a substitute for professional legal, medical, or financial advice. All content is for informational and educational purposes only. We do not practice law, medicine, or insurance adjusting. We do not guarantee any specific outcome from using the information or tools on this Site.
2. Free Tools
We provide several free tools including an NCCI code pair checker, CPT/HCPCS code lookup, bill math checker, and dispute letter generator. These tools:
- Are provided free of charge with no account or signup required.
- Run in your browser (client-side tools like the math checker and letter generator) or query public government APIs (code lookup tools). We do not store your inputs.
- Are provided "as is" for educational purposes. Verify all results independently before relying on them.
3. Dispute Letter Templates
Our dispute letter generator creates template letters based on the information you enter. These templates:
- Are starting points, not legal documents. Review and customize every letter before sending.
- Are generated entirely in your browser. We do not see, receive, or store the information you enter or the letters you generate.
- Include regulatory citations for reference. Verify that cited regulations apply to your specific situation.
- Do not constitute legal advice. Consult a qualified attorney for legal guidance.
4. No Data Collection
BillError does not collect, store, or process personal information beyond standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited). We do not require accounts, passwords, uploads, or payments. See our Privacy Policy for details.
5. Advertising and Referrals
This Site is supported by advertising revenue and may include referral links to third-party services (such as bill negotiation or advocacy services). When we include referral links:
- They are clearly labeled as sponsored content.
- We may earn a referral fee if you use the linked service, at no additional cost to you.
- Referral relationships do not influence our educational content or tool results.
- We do not endorse any third-party service. Do your own research before engaging any service provider.
6. No Guarantee of Results
Information on this Site is based on publicly available billing rules, regulations, and consumer rights. We do not guarantee that:
- Any billing error you identify will be corrected by the biller.
- Any dispute letter will result in a favorable outcome.
- Code lookups or rate comparisons reflect your specific insurance contract or billing arrangement.
- Information is current — regulations change and our content may not reflect the latest updates.
